Dad had a story to tell about almost every song here, so it made some interesting conversation on the way down. Grandma wasn't really paying attention to it, and Laura didn't complain much, except for the Jethro Tull and SRV. So I'd say it was a pretty fair success ^_^.

Haha, you just convinced me to drag out my Nazareth LPs. They've been sitting around for ages, and I don't think I've ever listened to either of them.

(Word to the wise: if there's a Big Lots in your area, you might be able to find some Maxell CD-Rs cheaper. Probably not exactly the same as the ones you're using, but it could be worth a look.)

I love the song "Gloomy Sunday", but I've never heard the Lydia Lunch version.

Haha, when I read what KathrynandRupert said, I thought that if anyone had already put those two on a mix before, it would be you.

Yeah, it's one you're thinking of.

Next time I get to the library, I'll put up a link. Dial-up is a pain!

The tracks you chose by The Cure and Joy Division are among my favorites by those artists. Overall, very nice indeed!

This looks great! I've been getting into Morrissey and The Smiths for a while, and I'll bet this'll help me grasp where Moz was coming from.

Range Life was the closer for a while, but it ended up getting cut. OMG, I know ^_^.

Wow, I should download this for my dad. It fits him to a T! (And the apple doesn't fall far ^_^.)

If there isn't an Exfoliated, it'd make a good name for a chick band...I Googled it but came up empty.

I could definitely chill out to this.

So much awesome stuff, and not a bad song in the bunch!

That song you have a question mark by is "Starfuckers, Inc." by Nine Inch Nails.

I actually didn't even have a song in my head until I took a look at your mix...and now I have, like, fifteen!
12/7/2007 12:46:00 PM
Haha, you would not believe how many of these I've broken out in song to.

You know, I was kinda saving that for the second disc. I always thought that song did give great closure to Kill Bill.

Not sure if you know about this (or maybe you were the one who submitted it!), but I found this at Tiny Mix Tapes: love, the kind you clean up with a mop and bucket

I'd been wanting to use that Hanoi Rocks track in a mix for a while, but I haven't found a home for it yet either!

I also did a soundtrack to The Catcher in the Rye, for a school project once. I think your song selection is more accessible at first listen, whereas mine required a lengthy description to get the point across. I've been wanting to get into Blur lately, and after taking a look at your mix, I think I just might ^_^.

We're all taking a trip down to Tennessee this weekend, so I put this together for the trip. If Dad doesn't like the music that's playing, he'll turn it off. So in order to listen to anything, it has …

Bo and I were talking about making a mix for the weekend and gave me the inspiration for this. Most of the songs were dedicated to specific people, to highlight a memory I share with them. (For …

It's been storming pretty hard outside today. It's not that I'm depressed, it's just that I feel like staying indoors, reading a book, and listening to the rain and thunder lull me into a quiet mood. …

This mix sure went through a metamorphosis. At one time, it had some hip-hop on it (and goodness knows I only listen to hip-hop very rarely), as well as some novelty comedy-type stuff. It started as a …

I put this together for a car ride with my best friend Katie. I tried to find a middle ground between my tastes and hers, so that it wouldn't be totally unlistenable to her. Again, there's a slight …
