I like that mix as well, but it's a bit too fast for me (in terms of the vocals).

Very true--I'm sure a few of these are late 2001 tracks, actually, but I always go by when I hear them as opposed to their release date. I'm kind of in the sticks, so things tend to trickle down to me a little more slowly.

I found the Sin mix and the 1979 mix (by Roli Mosimann) on import CD singles at record stores in Atlanta without too much hunting, so I bet they're reasonable easy to track down online. And I'm always up for a trade.

I'm not sure, but I think the Rozalla song is a cover of that very tune. (I know it's a cover version and I've heard the original, but I don't know the artists--though now that I think about it, it sure sounded like the O'Jays--very "Love Train.")

No offense taken if you're an Erasure-hater. I'm secure enough in my appreciation of their dandy qualities to acknowledge that they could be seen as a tad...well, *twee* by some. :-)

Wow--really nice. Weatherall is the reason that the One Dove album is a classic, and I credit his "Think About the Future" mix of Happy Mondays' "Wrote for Luck" for helping me really start to love dance music.

I almost put the Dusted track in, but I ended up running out of space on the CD and it came down to either "Always Respect..." or "Barbarella." The breakdown in "Barbarella" is too amazing, so I had to ditch "Dusted." Volume 2, perhaps?

I just LOVE that Westlife song, I guess--it's total commercial pop, of course, but it actually fits in to the rest of the mix in terms of tone and feel.
